Smart EffectThe Smart Effect project addresses the core challenges in introducing energy efficiency solutions to "a thousand homes": economics, complexity, availability and building awareness among users.Reducing energy consumption is almost always the most environmentally friendly way to increase the availability of renewable energy. Not only are the inevitable greenhouse gas emissions released during the expansion of renewable energy production avoided, but the saved energy can also be used in the transition from fossil fuels to electricity.

Homes Without Barriers - NAVSmart Home technology or environmental control as aid? Homes Without Barriers is an offshoot of the project Joint Development in Welfare Technology. This project kicked off in 2012 as a result of the collaboration between the Municipality of Stavanger and Rogaland NAV Community Technical Aid Centre. The purpose of the project was to gain experience in using smart home technology, specifically with users needing environmental control. Lyse has been the supplier of the smart home technology, and has also been responsible for the design and installation of all equipment.

Smart Patient RoomsLive TV and environmental control in patient beds.The project "Smart Patient Rooms" is a part of the innovation programme "Helse Stavanger 2.0", Stavanger University Hospital's strategic venture, designed to meet the current and future challenges of the healthcare system. Through the facilitation and implementation of patient-centered technology, the project wishes to give patients a greater degree of participation in their care. In addition, care resources can be used where they are needed the most.

Joint Development Project in Welfare TechnologyHow can one make living in one's own home simpler and safer?The project's objective is to make it simpler and safer to stay in one's own home for as long as possible, even in a situation where assisted care is necessary. Aging-in-Place (AIP) a key concern for the majority of users, and has become a metaphor for optimized healthcare services that make efficient use of resources, delay placement in institutions or hospitals. The entire project is structured around three real life narratives, penned by home nurses from the Randaberg and Stavanger municipalities, in which they described situations they often met as assisted care providers.

ArrowheadEurope's largest automation projectLyse is one of 78 partners in one of the most highly-profiled industrial development projects in the EU. With a budget of over half a billion kroner (68 million euro), the project aims to enable collaborative automation by networked embedded devices and to maximise adaptation between different systems. Interaction and communication between embedded systems and components are key concepts in this project. Lyse's participation in the project will contribute to greater energy efficiency and a greater competitive edge in the end markets of the future.
